The brush method – the way to shine, volume and fewer washes
At Green Heads, we often talk about the importance of brushing your hair. We want our customers to make it a routine to brush their hair 100 times a day. But why is it so good to brush your hair often and thoroughly?
Well, it's mainly about establishing and maintaining a healthy scalp. Because if your scalp is healthy, your hair has a much better chance of feeling good. A healthy scalp is slightly pink (good blood circulation), is well moisturized (not dry) and allows your hair to grow both stronger and faster than a stressed, dry and unbalanced scalp.
Three reasons why you should start with the brushing method.
1. Healthier hair
Increasing blood circulation to the scalp results in more blood to the hair follicle, which provides more nourishment for hair production (assuming your blood contains the minerals, vitamins, and amino acids that your hair needs).
2. More volume
Brushing exercises the hair erector muscle and when it becomes elastic and is allowed to move, it in turn gives more volume to the hair.
3. You don't need to wash your hair as often
When you brush your hair and scalp, the natural sebum produced in the sebaceous gland is spread throughout the hair. The sebum moisturizes the hair naturally and reduces the need to wash the hair because the oil is spread out from the scalp and distributed throughout the hair and the brush absorbs the oil.
How to brush your hair according to the brushing method?
Aim for 100 brush strokes per day - remember that it is important that you brush from the scalp, with the massage that occurs you get the blood circulation going properly .
